Each May, The Detroit News partners with Sparky Anderson’s CATCH charity for children to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of 24 Michigan High School seniors in a variety of academic categories. Participating sponsors provide financial support for CATCH and the student in the form of scholarship assistance named after the sponsor. Read more

This year’s Prelude Party on Sunday, July 14 at MGM Grand Detroit will include a celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Detroit Tigers’ 1984 World Series Championship.
The Party features food and beverage stations, silent auction of sports memorabilia, unique experiences and golf and travel packages, an on-stage conversation with members of the 1984 World Champions and a chance to mingle with a variety of other sports, media and business personalities. Read more
