Each year, CATCH organizes a series of special events – widely recognized as the best of its kind – to raise funds to support its mission. In addition to attracting some of the region’s leading businesses and corporations, CATCH events are attended by a variety of sports, media and business personalities.

The Detroit News/CATCH Outstanding High School Graduate Awards Program

Each May, The Detroit News partners with CATCH to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of 24 Michigan High School seniors in a variety of academic categories. Participating sponsors provide financial support for CATCH and the student in the form of scholarship assistance named after the sponsor.

CATCH Golf Classic

The CATCH Golf Classic, twice-voted “Michigan’s Best,” is supported and attended by top executives and sports and media personalities. The Golf Classic features a scramble format with the option of a celebrity golfer in each group (fivesome) with shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Sponsorships, which include a fivesome, range from $3,500 to $35,000. Third Party Events

CATCH encourages and welcomes businesses, corporations and organizations to donate proceeds from their own special events/activities to CATCH. Over the years, a variety of events have been independently organized and staged to benefit CATCH. Examples include office “blue jean” days, sports-themed dress-up days, Michigan-Michigan State days, tin can raffles, golf outings and bowling nights.
