A Night FILLED with Champions

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Congratulations and thanks to EVERYONE who joined us and supported CATCH Night of Champions XXVI this month! It was a spectacular evening celebrating so many champions, including our Presenting Sponsor for the 23rd year, Ford Motor Company.

CNOC.15.247This year, three more community heroes were inducted into the CATCH Hall of Fame: NFL Hall of Famer and Detroit native Jerome Bettis, Detroit Free Press Publisher & President Joyce Jenereaux, and retired Ernst & Young Managing Partner Al Lucarelli. Additionally, Daniel Frattarelli, M.D., Chairman of Pediatrics at Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn, received the annual Dr. Clarence Livingood Humanitarian Award.CNOC.15.263

This event was the brainchild of CATCH Founder and former Detroit Tigers Manager Sparky Anderson. He wanted to host an annual dinner where CATCH honored people who demonstrated by their example what it means to give back to the community.

Jerome, Joyce and Al more than fit that bill, and were worthy recipients of the CATCH Hall of Fame Award that has been given to 86 women and men over the years.

CNOC.15.155The evening also featured two members of the singing group By The Way – Darbi Dombrowski and Frankie Bellisario – welcoming guests with an amazing rendition of God Bless America. Emcees for the evening were two talented Grosse Pointe Academy students who entertained the 400 patrons with their series of honoree introductions.Everyone in the room – from the corporate sponsors to people who purchased a single ticket or donated to the raffle and auction – were champions in our book!CNOC.15.023
